Analog Devices' MAX31331 and MAX31334 ultra-low power RTCS extend battery life

The MAX31331 and MAX31334 Ultra-low Power RTC of DI are devices that consume ultra-low power timing currents to extend battery life. They support a variety of crystals with different capacitive load specifications (CL), which expands the pool of available crystals for the device. The device can be accessed through I2C serial interface.

The MAX31331SHLD# and MAX31334SHLD# Shield Evaluation kits (EV kits) are fully assembled and tested PCBS for evaluating the MAX31331 and MAX31334 ultra-low power low cost RTCS. The shield is powered by a single power supply (USB or external power), and the onboard crystal provides a 32.768 kHz clock signal. These devices can be accessed through the I2C serial interface provided by the MAX32625PICO board, which is connected to the PC via a USB port.
