Groundbreaking SOCs for next generation Industrial iot applications

     Rutronik is expanding its portfolio of Bluetooth Low Energy SoCs with three SOCs from the nRF54L family of Nordic New Semiconductors, nRF54L15, nRF54L10 and nRF54L05. The nRF54L SoC is a noteworthy addition to the nRF54 series and a successor to the popular and in-demand nRF52 series. The increased performance, efficiency and security make this product the best and future-proof choice for implementing the next generation of wireless iot products.

     All SOCs in this family are equipped with a 128MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor that doubles the processing power and trips the processing efficiency compared to the nRF52840. This can enhance the functionality of the final product while consuming three times less power.

     Security is one of the key challenges in the Industrial iot environment, which is why Nordic Semiconductors relies on the advanced security features and physical protection of the nRF54L series: Secure boot, secure firmware updates, secure storage, trusted execution environments that support trustzone, crypto accelerators with side-channel leak protection and tamper detectors have enabled the development of applications that meet future security regulations.

     Compared to the previous generation flagship nRF52 (nRF52840), the hardware and software highlight of the nRF54L series is the significantly better specification of the Arm Cortex-M33 (128MHz) rather than the Arm Cortex-M4 (64mhz); 1.5MB NVM/256KB RAM instead of 1MB Flash/256KB RAM; And Bluetooth LE 6.0 and higher, not Bluetooth LE 5.4.
