Littelfuse introduces the new SMTOAK2 transient suppression diode family

Littelfuse announced the launch of the new SMTOAK2 transient suppression diode family. Today, many high-power, high-surge rating transient suppression diodes can only be packaged in axial leads. With the compact 2kA 8/20μs rated surface-mount SMTOAK2 transient suppression Diode family, electronic device designers are able to achieve more stable transient voltage, overvoltage protection and lightning protection systems while taking up less printed circuit board (PCB) space.

The SMTOAK2 transient Suppression Diode family is ideal for high power density applications that require strong protection in small sizes, including:

● ICT, medical, industrial DC power equipment;
● High-power DC bus protection;
● DC power equipment exposed to harsh environments;
● Power over Ethernet (PoE) port;
● Small base station, micro base station, remote radio unit (RRU), baseband unit (BBU);
● High power density SiC and GAN based DC/DC converter/power supply devices.
