Molex expands CMC product line with 32 power line to line connection system

     Molex Corporation has announced the expansion of its CMC product line with the introduction of a 32-power line-to-line connection system. The CMC Modular hybrid connection system is specifically designed for high conductivity and harsh environment applications and is widely recognized as the industry standard interface for automotive and transportation powertrain applications, including engine control units (ECUs), automatic transmissions, suspension controllers and electrical parking brakes.

     Selvan Wilhelm, global Product Manager at Molex, said: "This 32-power wire-to-wire connection system enables customers to use the same jack connector and CP terminal system throughout the vehicle. By using the same connected system, customers can gain economies of scale, make procurement cost-effective, and optimize the production process, thereby reducing overall costs."

     Molex's new 32-electric wire-to-wire sealing high-density modular connection system is primarily used for power transmission and body electronics applications in cars, trucks and buses. By using the same complete CMC connection system throughout the vehicle, cable harness manufacturers require only a jack connector and terminal system for both wire-to-board and wire-to-wire applications. Designed for bracket and fixture mounting, this 32-power line-to-wire plug provides additional flexibility to meet the specific space and application needs of each customer.
