ON Semiconductor's pioneering image sensor enables the next generation of ADAS solutions

     ON Semiconductor announced that Bosch has selected ON Semiconductor, the global leader in automotive image sensors, as the image sensor supplier for one of its future camera technologies for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The new image sensor was developed to meet OEM needs for future ADAS cameras with high dynamic range (HDR) features and state-of-the-art safety features.

     As drivers become increasingly distracted by gadgets, this new technology plays a key role in enhancing safety by helping drivers recognize pedestrians or cyclists even in very low light conditions. Safety standards such as the European Association for the Safety Assessment of New Vehicles (EuroNCAP) have led the way in establishing global rear-end collision mitigation requirements, extending coverage to vulnerable road users in challenging low-light conditions. New image sensor technology from On Semiconductor enables security systems to operate in the worst light conditions.
