Offers a wide range of input and output non-isolated DC-DC converters

     TDK has introduced the 250W Rated TDK-Lambda RGA Series of rugged non-isolated DC-DC converters. All models carry CE and UKCA marks for low voltage and RoHS instructions and are designed according to IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1 safety standards. Evaluation board is provided to facilitate quick testing. Capable of operating from input voltages of 9V to 40V or 9V to 53V, non-isolated step-down converters offer output voltages adjustable from 3.3V to 15V, 3.3V to 24V or 3.3V to 40V for output current up to 20A.

     The line of products is suitable for harsh environment applications including robotics, AGVs, COTS, communications, industrial and portable battery-powered devices. In a 1/16 brick size, 35.6mm x 25.6mm x 13mm, the converter package provides increased shock and vibration resistance. A five-sided aluminum die-cast housing with mounting labels reduces radiant electromagnetic interference and allows conduction cooling to the cold plate for fanless operation.

     RGA models include three voltage and current combinations that support operation from 12V, 18V, 24V, 36V, and 48V power supplies. A wide range of inputs can help reduce inventory planning, with one part number covering multiple nominal voltages. Up to 98% efficiency minimizes power loss, allowing products to operate in harsh environments ranging from -40℃ to +110℃.

     The need for board space is reduced due to the optimized dynamic voltage response, reducing the need for external output capacitance. Basic functional models include output voltage regulation pins, negative logic remote switches, remote sensing, input undervoltage, overcurrent, and thermal protection. Full-featured models provide good power signals, output voltage sequences and the ability to synchronize operating frequencies to minimize system noise.
