Renesas and its partners launch the SE-CPM evaluation and development platform

     Renesas Electronics, in collaboration with its power line partner Ariane Controls and its smart energy partner Grid2Home, announced the launch of an SE-CPM evaluation and development platform for communication between electric vehicles (EVs) and electric vehicle supply devices (EVSE). The platform is based on the Renesas V850 series microcontroller (MCU), the most widely used microcontroller in the automotive industry.

     With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, controlled intelligent charging has become one of the keys to reduce grid outages and balance grid loads as much as possible. If you want to use this intelligent charging method, you must establish a communication link between the car and the charger, and between the car and the power company (through the charger and the meter), and the new SE-CPM platform enables the Renesas V850 MCU, Pairing with Ariane Controls PLM-1 core and Grid2Home SE2.0 software enables this communication.
