SCHURTER introduces smart connectors DS11 and DT31

SCHURTER launches the first wave of a new range of smart products. With the internal smart connector DS11 - the first of its kind in the world - and the external smart connector DT31, traditional electronics can be easily converted into smart devices. Both connectors are part of a new smart ecosystem from Shutec.

DS11 Smart Connector DS11

With the internal smart connector DS11, SCHURTER introduces the world's first: a smart connector that can be installed as a power input module in electronic devices and systems. Equipment and device manufacturers can thus provide their customers with a wide range of additional features immediately, without any expensive development or engineering.

DT31 Smart Connector DT31

The new DT31 is an external plug and play, refurbished smart connector; The advantage of this connector variant is that it can be quickly connected to existing devices and does not require installation. Because users can quickly and inexpensively link existing devices with pluggable DT31, the product is ideal for monitoring the usage and consumption of existing devices. For example, hospital technicians can use the DT31 smart connector to precisely monitor the operating hours of existing medical devices and therefore determine how often they are used.

Both new SCHURTER Smart product family connectors are equipped with WLAN connectivity, and the internal connector DS11 also has a serial interface directly linked to the host device; Both smart connectors are IEC-60320 compliant.

With the introduction of the smart product range, SCHURTER is breaking new ground. The smart connector is not just an electronic product, but also part of a comprehensive, cloud-based software system. Users can access smart products through Shutec's new Smart ecosystem, a cloud service that is free of charge and included in DS11 and DT31 deliveries. On request, SCHURTER also offers four additional packages with extended functionality; Both connectors are accessible through the Smart Connector application.
