SiC technology is used in a range of AC/DC power modules

     ROHM has its EcoSiC products in the COSEL HFA/HCA family of 3.5kW output AC/DC power units, including SiC MOSFETs and SiC sdd for three-phase applications. Its SiC MOSFETs and SiC sdd are incorporated into the forced air cooled HFA series and conduction cooled HCA series with efficiency up to 94%.

     Many industrial applications dealing with high power in the industrial sector, including MRI machines and CO2 lasers, require a three-phase power supply, which is different from the single-phase power used in homes. COSEL's AC/DC power units are equipped with EcoSiC technology to perform well in high temperature, high frequency, high voltage environments and are compatible with three-phase power supplies from 200VAC to 480VAC, helping to improve the power efficiency of various industrial equipment worldwide.

     The HFA/HCA series is a 3.5kW power supply with a wide input range (200VAC to 480VAC) to meet global power needs. This allows them to be used anywhere in the world without modifying the power supply in each region, thus contributing to the standardization of application design. Forced Air Cooling (HFA Series) and conduction cooling (HCA Series) models - selectable depending on the operating environment - offer 48V and 65V output voltage variants that can be used as power sources for a variety of high-power applications, such as laser generation and MRI.
