The easy-to-use VGA LWIR thermal imaging module makes thermal imaging more accessible
Lynred has announced the ATI640, a plug-and-play VGA resolution LWIR thermal imaging module, to assist new market players seeking easier access to infrared technology. With the device's high image quality, reliability, user-friendly interface, and seamless assembly, system developers can now integrate infrared optoelectric components together without making major investments or requiring expertise in optical design, sensor calibration, or image correction that previously prevented widespread adoption of infrared technology.
By stripping away the complexity of thermal imaging, the company's new module frees up development time for system integrators, giving them more room to focus on innovation and product quality, improving their competitiveness and getting to market faster.

The module is based on the company's best-in-class 640x480, 12µm pixel pitch sensor. It uses the SWaP-C core design to optimize integration with optoelectronic systems. The module is calibrated to operate in shutter-free mode to provide an uninterrupted video experience. Thanks to its pairing of shutterless operation and advanced image processing algorithms, it offers excellent image quality without the SWaP-C requirements of swapping. Its frame rate (60Hz) captures fast-moving targets and produces smooth video clips. It can be with or without a lens.
