Vishay increases the temperature range of the HOTcap automotive grade ML CC to +200°C

The H Series multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (ML CC) with automotive grade radial leads have an increased operating temperature range of +200°C, the highest temperature in the industry for Class I ceramic through-hole devices.

     The VishayBCcomponents lead MLCC is certified to operate for 500 hours in the temperature range -55 °C to +200°C, with no time limit at +175°C. The device has good high temperature performance, capacity from 100pF to 1pF, and capacitance tolerance is maintained at a strict +5%.

     Class I and Class II ceramic MLCCS use very stable C0G dielectrics with capacitance variation of +30ppm/K and X0U dielectrics with temperature range TCC of +22%/-56% from -55C to +175C. The X0U dielectric also meets the specifications of X7R, the capacitance change in the range of -55 ° C to +125° C is ±15%, the specification of X9V, the capacitance change in the range of -55 ° C to +200° C is +22%/-82%. In order to be welded directly to the lead frame, or molded with plastic, the capacitors use straight leg leads or bent leads with spacing of 2.5mm and 5.0mm. The lead is 0.5mm or 0.6mm in diameter and is made of 100% tinned copper-covered steel.
