Wireless MCU for use in wireless battery management systems

     Texas Instruments SimpleLink 2.4GHz CC2662R-Q1 device is a wireless MCU compatible with AEC-Q100, designed for wireless automotive applications. This device is a part of SimpleLink MCU platform, which includes Wi-Fi, low-power Bluetooth, thread, Zigbee, Sub-1GHz MCU and host MCU. These MCU share a common, easy-to-use development environment and rich tool set.

     The device is optimized for low-power wireless communication applications, including BMS and cable replacement. The device supports the company's SimpleLink Wireless BMS (WBMS) protocol and can achieve reliable, low-latency and high-throughput communication. It provides functional safety quality management classification, including TI quality management development process and future functional safety FIT rate calculation, FMEDA and functional safety documents.

     The equipment is EC-Q100 qualified level 2 temperature range (- 40C to+105C), and is provided in a 7mm x 7mm VQFN package with wet side. MCU has 0.94 μ A low standby current and complete RAM retention. It provides an excellent 97dBm radio link budget.
