Xilinx launched based on 28 nm Kintex™ -7 FPGA target reference design and development substrate

     Xilinx announced a new target reference design and new development substrate based on the 28 nm Kintex™-7 FPGA to accelerate the development of a new generation of 3D and 4K2K display technologies designed to bring richer immersive experiences to consumers. Includes 4K2K Mosaic, HDTV to 4K2K updrive target reference designs, and a new ACDC (Capture, Provide, Distribute, Consume) 1.0 substrate with Kintex-7 FPgas.

     TV manufacturers can leverage the processing performance and flexibility of the Xilinx 28 nm Kintex-7 FPGA to enable stunning immersive technologies such as multi-window/picture-in-picture, 3D gaming images and super realistic viewing experiences in new consumer TV screens that go far beyond the capabilities of high-definition television (HDTV). With the full set of development resources from Xilinx to start system development, including substrates, tools, IP cores and reference designs, manufacturers can accelerate the development of cutting-edge TVS, projectors and displays.

     Xilinx's development technology based on the 28 nm Kintex-7 FPGA will be at the forefront of display technology innovation, which is expected to allow consumers to enjoy stunning visual enjoyment in the near future. The combination of hardware, IP cores, and target reference designs from Xilinx and TED can help manufacturers with 1080i system (HD) or 1080P (full HD) display designs accelerate the system's laboratory development process with as little engineering investment as possible before 4K2K content is widely available. Get ready for a new display. In fact, the 4K2K updrive reference design has made it possible to play 1080i or 1080P content on 4K2K systems.
