3-wire EMC filter for high current converter applications

TDK's B84143CxS250/S251 series are EPCOS 3-wire EMC filters for high current converter applications. Depending on the type, they are rated for 305 VAC/530 VAC and 440 VAC/760 VAC (50 Hz/60 Hz) and for 160 A to 2500 A currents. A particular performance characteristic is the very high attenuation figures they achieve in the range of 9 kHz to 150 kHz.

To meet UL requirements in open-cabinet construction, the complete filter family is designed with a short-circuit current rating (SCCR) of 100ka. Despite its high performance, the case size with IP 00 protection is very compact. For example, the smallest model size is 350 mm x 240 mm x 120 mm (L x W x H) and the largest size is 710 mm x 365 mm x 257 mm.

All types of ground leakage current are 46ma, in accordance with IEC 60939-1:201. Approved in accordance with IEC 60939-3, UL 60939-3 and CSA C22.2 No.8.
