A new addition to Bourns' Multifuse product range - high temperature PPTC resettable fuses

     Bourns has announced a new addition to its award-winning Multifuse offering - the AEC-Q200 certified high Temperature polymer Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) self-restoring fuse. Available in 1206 and 1210(3014 and 3024 metric) surface mount packages with operating temperatures up to 125 ° C, the minified MF-NSHT and MF-USHT series designed by Bourns are the circuit protection of choice for automotive systems. The excellent self-restoring overcurrent protection features are also suitable for the next generation of high-density industrial circuit boards, telecommunications and consumer electronics in high-temperature operating environments.

     The latest high temperature Multifuse product uses Bourns' freeXpansion process; This process can greatly reduce the size of the package, increase the holding current (Ihold), stabilize the resistance value, and increase the rated voltage (Vmax). At high temperatures, the Ihold of the MF-NSHT and MF-USHT series can be as high as 0.50 Amps and the R1 can be as low as 1.6 Ohms.
