A wide range of sensors can be used for a variety of purposes

     Powell Electronics offers the VRS family of sensors from Honeywell to meet industrial high output/resolution/temperature, hazardous position needs and general purpose requirements. Six application-specific series are available in stock:

     General purpose VRS sensors are designed for use in electrical noise environments with medium to high speeds or relatively small air gaps. Housing diameters are 5/8 "(M16), 3/8" (M12), 1/4 "(M8), and 10/32". Output voltage ranges from 8Vp-p to 40Vp-p.

     Hazardous Locations VRS sensors are designed for use in locations that require explosion-proof or intrinsically safe sensors. The case diameter of the sensor is 3/4 "and 5/8" (M16). The output voltage ranges from 30Vp-p to 60Vp-p.

     High output VRS sensors are developed for applications that require higher output voltages. They perform best under medium-low speed and medium-high impedance loads. The sealed front version can be used when the sensor is exposed to fluids, lubricants or adverse environmental conditions.

     High resolution VRS sensors are created for applications that use precise timing pulses and/or fine-pitch gears. Proper sensor calibration is required. The case diameter of the sensor is 5/8 "(M16) and 3/8" (M12). The output voltage ranges from 17Vp-p to 170Vp-p.

     High temperature VRS sensors are designed for applications exposed to temperatures up to 260 degrees Celsius. The sealed front version can be used in applications where the sensor is exposed to fluids, lubricants or adverse environmental conditions.

     Power output VRS sensors were developed to drive low resistance loads in atmospheric gap applications, where larger actuators may be employed. The casing is 5/8 "(M16) in diameter and has an output voltage of 70Vp-p.
