AgigA Tech, a subsidiary of Cypress, announced the launch of JEDEC-compliant DDR4 NVDIMM-N solutions

     AgigA Tech, a subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation and a leading provider of high-speed, high-capacity and battery-free non-volatile memory solutions, announced the official release of its JEDEC-compliant AGIGARAM DDR4 NVDIMM-N series solutions. This solution, along with AgigA's industry-leading legacy DDR4 NVDIMM products that have been in production since before the JEDEC standard, It offers a complete range of turnkey module products and controller solutions for the newly announced JEDEC standards for NVDIMM-N solutions (JESD248 and JESD245A).

     AgigA Tech's 8GB and 16GB NVDIMM-N module solutions are available today, while a 32GB module solution is under development and expected to be released later in 2017. In addition to module products, AgigA Tech also provides controller chipset solutions to OEM partners to help them develop their own branded NVDIMM-N products. The AGIGARAM chipset family is highly programmable, so it can meet different NVDIMM-N requirements, support designs with or without data multiplexers, and is compatible with NAND flash products from different manufacturers. In addition, AgigA Tech offers a full suite of PowerGEM® modules, the industry's most reliable battery-free power solution that powers the system during data backup and supports both AgigA and OEM NVDIMMs.

     JEDEC's NVDIMM-N standard presents a new non-volatile memory that meets the demand for higher performance persistent memory for enterprise storage and server applications, providing the low latency, nearly infinite life, and non-volatile flash memory of DRAM. Previously, enterprise and data center applications were limited by high-latency storage solutions such as SSDS, but with the deployment of NVDIMM-N solutions in enterprise storage systems, this significant system bottleneck is now eliminated. The introduction of the latest JEDEC standard also makes the integration of NVDIMM-N hardware and software easier and more convenient.
