Dual-channel synchronous step-down DC/DC controller

Texas Instruments LM25143/LM25143-Q1 Dual-channel synchronous step-down DC/DC controllers are derived from a wide VIN range of controllers and are ideal for high current single or dual output. The staggered, stackable, peaking current mode control architecture of the LM25143 enables simple loop compensation, fast transient response, excellent load and line regulation, and precise current sharing with parallel phases for greater output current. The high-side switch provides a large step-down ratio (minimum turn-on time of 65ns), enabling direct step-down conversion from a 12V or 24V rated input to a low-voltage rail, thereby reducing system complexity and cost.

The TI LM25143/LM25143-Q1 dual-channel synchronous step-down DC/DC controller can continue to work with a duty ratio close to 100% when the input voltage drops to 3.5V. The device supports 15μA no-load static current when the output voltage is regulated, thus prolonging the running time of the battery-powered system. In addition, lower input static current and power loss can be achieved by powering the LM25143/LM25143-Q1 via the output of a switching regulator or other available power supply. LM25143-Q1 devices comply with AEC-Q100 standards for automotive applications.
