Molex's extensive tooling solutions portfolio includes semi-automatic wire presses, ideal for medium to high volume production. These include:

1.TM-3000 Universal Wire Pressing System: Provides an efficient way to apply a variety of side and rear feed terminals to pre-stripped discrete wires or cables. The system accepts Molex's Mini-Mac™ and FineAdjust™ dressings and uses most industry standard dressings, reducing tooling costs and increasing design flexibility. Direct drive separate circulating presses can handle terminals mounted on Mylar polyester film strips using Molex's pneumatic dressers.

2.TM-4000 Universal press system, closing height - 135.80 mm (5.346 in) : The Molex TM-4000 Universal Wire pressing system is the only industry standard bench press on the market that can be terminated for large connector products at 4 AWG specifications, and can be applied to a wide range of side and rear feed terminals to large size wires. Most common industry standard dressings can be used, as well as any dressings made by Molex, including pneumatic dressings that can handle terminals mounted on Mylar polyester thin film strips.

3.Strip terminal crimping module (strip based unit) : provides an efficient method to apply a variety of side-feed, tape mounted terminals to 4 to 30 AWG pre-stripped discrete wires. Operating only on TM-4000 and TM-3000 universal presses, the fast change-over modular tooling allows the use of all existing ATP-201 and ATP-301 modules, reducing tooling investment.
