New product line for small base station outdoor AC load center

     Transtector has added SC-2MMA9 outdoor AC load centers for small cell sites to its line. The new and improved integrated panel design connects directly to utility services and provides customized circuit breaker configurations for all typical small cell deployments. It also offers integrated surge protection and options with GFCI convenience receptacles and shunt trip main circuit breakers for external outages of AC power supplies.

     These compact, field-configurable load centers are suitable for a variety of applications, including cellular/telecom, broadband, small cell, picocellular, microcellular, 5G nodes, right-of-way extensions, and DAS systems. There is sufficient power capacity to run all small unit architectures, including multi-tenant (co-location) sites.

     All new AC load centers have a 100A bipolar main circuit breaker for 120/240VAC split phase service. These panels can also be equipped with high-current branch circuit breakers up to 60A for subpanel or right-of-way (ROW) extensions. They are all UL67 compliant and service entry rated and are suitable for use as a service device (SUSE). SUSE grades save cost and space by eliminating the need for a separate upstream disconnect box.

     Installers can customize circuit breaker configurations for a variety of devices by implementing up to 14 single-pole or up to 7 bipolar load circuit breakers. Five basic models are available, with multiple combinations of 10, 15, 20, 25 or 60A loads or branch circuit breakers with one or both poles. To protect against lightning and utility switching transients, all models feature the company's surge protection, which uses high-capacity MOV technology with very low voltage protection levels.

     All new AC load centers have the NEMA 3R environmental rating. Weatherproof washers and seals prevent water from entering around the door, including in rain, sleet and snow. Its 9-inch wide form factor allows it to be mounted independently on an external rod or in an integrated rod structure. Galvanized, powder-coated steel cabinets include a padlock for security.
