ON Semiconductor introduces preconfigured development kits to make it easier to build hearing AIDS

     ON Semiconductor releases Ezairo Pre Suite, continuing to expand its portfolio of ultra-low-power solutions for the health hearing industry. The development kit provides turnkey solutions based on the company's Ezairo7100 digital signal processor (DSP).

     The wireless-enabled Ezairo7150SL is the first hybrid module supported by the Ezairo pre-configured suite, which includes firmware packs to make it easier to build wireless hearing AIDS. Its features include wide dynamic range compression (WDRC), adaptive noise reduction, support for directional microphones, sound feedback cancellation, and environment classification. This precision firmware package paves the way for easier development of mid-range hearing AIDS or upcoming cash (OTC) hearing AIDS, while supporting advanced wireless features that enable wireless devices and advanced user control.

     To help manufacturers customize EZairo-based firmware packages to their specific needs, ON Semiconductor offers Windows@-based packages that serve as a complete end-to-end user interface for developing next-generation hearing AIDS. This sophisticated software includes features such as sensor modeling and calibration, parametric control, and field diagnostic tools to help fine-tune performance and optimize audio quality. It also includes a cross-platform software development Kit (SDK) that supports not only Windows but also mobile platforms such as iOS and Android for wired communication or wireless communication with Bluetooth Low Power @(BLE) technology.
