Rambus introduces DDR5 client clock drivers, expanding memory interface chip products into high-performance PCS

     As the industry's leading chip and semiconductor IP provider committed to making data transfer faster and more secure, Rambus announced the introduction of DDR5 Client Clock drivers (CKD) for next-generation high-performance desktop and notebook computers. The Rambus DDR5 CKD and SPD Hub are part of a new client memory interface chip offering that brings the latest server technology advancements to the client market. Rambus DDR5 CKD leverages the company's more than 30 years of memory system expertise to enable new client DIMMs (CSODIMMs and CuDIMMs) to operate at advanced data transfer rates of up to 7,200 MT/s and bring unprecedented performance to the next generation of PCS.

     Rami Sethi, senior vice president and general manager of Memory Interface chips at Rambus, said: "As advanced technologies originally developed for the data center expand into the client realm, increasingly powerful PCS will take gaming, content creation and AI to the next level.      In addition to CKD, Rambus DDR5 memory interface chips include 1st to 4th generation register clock drivers (RCDS), power management chips (PMIC), serial detection hubs (SPD) hubs and temperature sensors for cutting-edge servers. As data rates continue to increase, signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) management is becoming increasingly critical. Rambus has over 30 years of experience in high-performance memory and is known for its SI/PI expertise. This expertise helps DDR5 memory interface chips deliver superior signal integrity and power efficiency to server and client DIMMs at higher production rates.
