TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda brand DUSH series in a compact DIN rail mount package

     TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda brand ush Series compact DIN rail mounting kit. The series provides backup power in case of power failure. It is the heart of the DC-UPS system, connecting power, load, and battery. Normally, the load is powered by a power supply connected to the input. The series also manages the charging of the connected battery. In the event of a power outage, the module will maintain a stable output voltage, using the battery as the power source for the load.

     The series is capable of operating from 10V to 60V input voltages and can be programmed to provide 10V to 58V regulated outputs rated at 20A. In addition, an unregulated 5A auxiliary output is available (-0M suffix model). It can accommodate a variety of battery technologies, including lead, nickel, lithium and supercapacitors, with capacities up to 1000Ah. An integrated DC-DC buck/boost converter decouples the battery from the load voltage. The module manages the health of the battery by stopping deep discharge, allowing temperature compensated charging, and monitoring internal resistance.

     The front panel user interface is available with a 1.5-inch color graphics LCD and four control keys (-0M suffix model). The series offers multiple interfaces and signals, including two configurable alarm relays, an isolated remote on/off contact, status leds and battery temperature sensing inputs. Mini USB-B or RS485 Modbus interface is available for monitoring and programming. The Control and Monitoring Center (PowerCMC) software assists with commissioning and maintenance, saves alarm logs, and provides real-time status monitoring.

     Depending on the charging and operation mode, the operating efficiency is between 96% and 98%. The series is 54mm wide, 115mm high, 131mm deep, weighs 500g, and has an operating temperature between -25C and +50C. These models carry the CE and UKCA marks for low voltage and RoHS directives and are certified to the IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-1, 61010-2-201 and IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1 Ed.3 safety standards.
