TI introduces Resonant controllers with integrated high voltage gate drivers

     Texas Instruments introduces a new inductor-Inductor-capacitor (LLC) resonant controller with an integrated high-voltage gate driver that delivers the industry's lowest standby power consumption and longer system life. The UCC256301 provides a cost-effective system solution that helps meet the demanding energy efficiency standards of a wide range of AC/DC applications, including digital TVS, gaming adapters, desktop and laptop adapters, and power tool battery chargers.

     As the first in a new family of high-performance LLC controllers, the UCC256301 achieves standby power consumption of less than 40 mW in a regulated state while outperforming industry efficiency standards. With ultra-fast transient response and robust fault protection, such as avoiding zero current switches, the device enables reliable operation over the lifetime of the end device.
