TT Electronics offers robust SMT inductors for harsh automotive applications

     TT Electronics, a global supplier of engineering electronics for performance-critical applications, announced the launch of the HM73E-10 series of SMT micro power inductors aimed at high-reliability applications in the automotive industry. These inductors are suitable for high-efficiency DC-DC applications where size is important, and their AEC-Q200 certification ensures the level of performance and reliability required for automotive industry applications.

     These inductors are robust, have electromagnetic shielding features, are designed to maximize inductance values, and have high saturation currents for better performance. These devices have lower DC resistance and better lower temperature rise performance than previous models and similar inductors on the market.

     The range currently offers six products with current ratings of 15 to 65 A. They are capable of operating at temperatures ranging from -50 to +155 ° C. At 100 kHZ, the rated inductance ranges from 3.76 uH(minimum inductor) to 0.19 uH(maximum inductor for a 65A rated current device). All inductors in the series have a smaller 11.5 x 10.6 mm occupancy area with a height of 5.9 mm.

     TT Electronics' HM73E-10 series inductors are RoHS compliant and AEC-Q200 certified, making them available to system designers, component engineers and design engineers for automotive powertrain, engine and transmission control, hybrid electric vehicles, start and stop systems and electric power steering applications. Industrial applications include switching power supplies, automation systems and DC/DC converters.
