The new Brad M40 plastic-coated wire set has a short plastic-coated length

     Molex introduces the Brad M40 plastic-coated wire set, which is designed for high power applications such as servo motors. Molex's portfolio of circular connector plastic-coated wire sets currently ranges in size from M5 to M40, while the M40 specification has been expanded to include field wiring connectors as well as panel mount sockets.

     Hannah Lena Gehring, Product Manager at Molex, said: "The Brad M40 plastic-coated wire set has a plastic-coated length of 71 mm, which is one of the shortest in the industry, allowing it to be used in space-constrained applications. To ensure high reliability and performance, even in the harshest industrial automation environments, slag and Oil resistant (WSOR) sheathed shielded cables have become standard."

     The Brad M40 plastic-coated wire set is available in standard lengths of 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10 meters, and is available as an industry standard in 6-pole (3+2+PE) and 8-pole (4+3+PE) connector configurations. The rated current of the power pin is 37 amp, and the rated current of the signal pin is 16 amp. With connection times of less than one minute, equipment downtime can be minimized while reducing maintenance costs. Wire groups are provided in pre-assembled form to reduce wiring errors.

     The Brad M40 Plastic-coated wire set meets IP 67 rating when paired and is sealed to prevent dust intrusion, providing temporary water resistance to up to 1 meter of water. Wire assemblies meet stringent operational requirements and provide high reliability and performance in the harshest industrial environments such as welding, metalworking and machining applications.
