The new junction box offers additional value options and time savings for easy installation

     Hylec-APL has released the Debox V, a new value variant of its Debox line of cable junction boxes. Its Debox line of junction boxes is well known among electrical installers and offers complete use, making connections faster and easier, saving time and money. However, the company's research shows that many electricians carry standard connector boxes that they tend to prefer.

     The new product offers the same time-saving and easy-to-install features as other Debox junction boxes - but does not offer connectors, providing an additional option for electricians who carry and prefer to use their own connectors. It also provides a safe way to fit off-the-shelf end connectors inside a quick-mount housing, using the lever connectors preferred by electricians.

     The advantages of Debox include a screwless connection, which does not lose cumbersome screws in low light conditions. It offers 100% tool-free assembly, including a unique built-in tool-free cable restraint. It offers a latching cover with locking clips (and spare) and folding retaining lugs, providing maintenance-free operation. The box also passes the tensile test EN 60670-22 and the cable holding test EN 60670-1-7.41 and complies with the glow line test EN 60598-1(13.2.2) and has a flame retardant housing of UL 94 V-0.

     The product measures 107mm(L)x 47mm(W)x 35mm(H) and is made of white polypropylene. It has a maximum rated current of 32A and a rated temperature of -20 ° C to +85 ° C. The design is suitable for connecting flat or round cables with a minimum conductor size of 0.25mm and a maximum conductor size of 4mm.
