The new version of the space-saving narrow feedthrough connector is suitable for North America

     Cliff Electronics has expanded its line of SLIMS feedthrough connectors to meet the needs of the North American market. The introduction of the Imperial 4-40 1/4 "full screw cap screw mounting option will increase acceptance in the United States, where M3 threaded connectors are not often used.

     The series allows customers to choose between mounting a connector adapter from the front of the panel, which allows for simple and quick replacement of the connector in the field, or mounting the connector from the rear, giving the connector a lower look when rack-mounted or side-by-side.

     These connectors provide panel manufacturers and system integrators with the ability to install up to 20 connectors on a 1U, 19-inch rack panel. The only 19 mm wide range provides a more compact alternative to the company's 26 mm wide XLR form factor feed-through product range. Only 16 existing XLR designs can be mounted on a 19 "rack panel.

     The FeedThrough connector range is available in a plastic frame with a plain or sunken Ø2.5mm or Ø3.2mm fixed hole.      The connector family is available in 14 different versions, including HDMI, USB3 A-A, USB3 B-A, USB2 B-A, USB2 A-B, USB-C F-M, Cat5e, Cat5e Shielding, Cat6, Cat6 Shielding, USB2 B-A, USB2 A-B, USB-C F-M, CAT5E Shielding, CAT6 shielding, and USB shielding. Cat3, Cat6A shielding and blank boards. There are 11 variants of each type, so the total number of possible variants is 252.

     Due to its high panel density and low profile, if installed, the series can be used in audio, broadcast, AV and communication devices, medical, educational and research, industrial control and space. It can also be designed with 1U rack-mounted NUC computers and small PCS such as the Raspberry PI for projects of all sizes, from custom game consoles to industrial applications, and is ideal for space-constrained embedded or iot systems, digital signage, media production and video conferencing applications.

     All the company's FeedThrough connectors allow internal connections using standard, off-the-shelf connection cables, simplifying and speeding system assembly and facilitating equipment reuse.
